Your initial concern was with the word "fanatic" and Rainy enthusiastically admitted that this is what she is. If she is not troubled by it, why are you?
I had pasted the dictionary entry for that word to clarify more specifically what it means. Maybe the synonym "bigot" does not seem at first glance to be a perfect fit, at least by the most common idea of what it means. The word bigot is usually associated with racism but I don't believe at all that Rainy is a racist. However, i do believe that people can be religiously bigoted while not being racially bigoted and in this way i do believe it is a perfect fit.
a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.
Do you disagree that Rainy is intolerant towards those holding different opinions? If so, then i propose that you must not have seen or absorbed what she has written over the past few days.
The main issue here is that Rainy has set herself up as the Religious police and as the judge who pompously gets to decide who the real Christians are based upon whether or not they agree with her on certain doctrinal beliefs. Like the Catholic church for many centuries before her, she has taken it upon herself to decide who the heretics and apostates are. She has decided who is headed to hell for eternal torment based upon whether or not they agree with her and with the institutionalized religious system to which she conforms and to which she is so dutifully devoted.
How is it that you missed this part which is the central issue and which is the entirety of what my responses to her have been based upon? I ask the following in sincerity and in kindness. Is it possible that you are so influenced by your friendship with Rainy and by your devotion to her that you have chosen to completely ignore the religiously bigoted and otherwise offensive words she has written and to instead focus on my honest response to her which challenges her on the hostility which she in fact initiated?
