Re: Religious Arrogance...

I came to this forum very uninformed concerning religion and I am still not the best person to answer your question but I will come at it from a different point of view that I hope is unbiased. We all have our own beliefs on religion and we conclude that our beliefs are true to the word of God so if someone comes up against us then that in itself can make us feel less appreciative of what that other person has to say even if that other person is telling us as it is in their eyes to help us even if it does not appear that way to us. Some people tell it as it is in their eyes not to cause offence but just to tell it as it is.

Now when I first came to this forum it seemed to me everyone was pretty much getting into a heated argument, there was many differing views on here and it was so easy to forget this is a debate forum. All debates were intensive and outspoken which made me feel a little awkward but I also marveled at them. I knew I was never going to be in these peoples league. Oh how I wish I could go back to those days.

As you can understand being a newbie I had to be careful where I picked my fruit from. I read the postings and gathered the information that I believe God wanted me to.

It amazes me that there is such a lot of different views within Christianity when we just have one Bible to read from, I never understood that until I came here.

Of course having differing views in a debate forum leads to great debates, that is what made this place so great to me in the beginning.

But I have to confess this debate forum is only great when everyone comes together.

I have tried to be unbiased as I can be because as you say I have been friends with Rainy online, it was my choice and she has helped to open my eyes, she has helped me a lot and I would not be where I am today in God without her knowledge and others on here also. I understand my views may not be your views. One thing I do admire about Rainy, she tells it as it is, even if you don't agree with her, it is better to know where you stand with people don't you think? I can't stand it when people are two faced, they say one thing to your face and another behind your back, you will never get that from her, she is genuine.
