Re: Anyone take Iodine with thyroid medication?

I noted your post was 5 years ago...but I'm asking if I can just stop my meds which seem to get in the way of iodine. Today I didn't take my thyroid NDT and just took 3.125 mg of iodoral after breakfast. I feel normal. When taking it with my thyroid meds, I want to spin off the earth and feel all tired later...since I've had the meds compounded due to the FDA ruling Nature-thyroid was a new drug and taken off the market (let me laugh all the way to DC and back) I haven't felt the same. Plus, I'm tired of the meds holding me captive. I note that I need to take my selenium, vitamin c and salt therapy...I also avoid gluten and dairy...I have been avoiding grains and beans as well...but not sure if that is ok...however...I'm feeling I don't want to take the compounded NDT iodoral together and feeling over revved. I need the iodine all over my body, not just focused on my thyroid gland by it's lonely self. (I know the elimination diet improved my thyroid function...so hoping that iodoral will finish what was started and kick the NDT to the curb.) Just want to know how you're doing now? I'm going to repost this as I've been looking for an iodine literate doc and have several lined up...but am also listening to my body.
