Re: Anyone take Iodine with thyroid medication?

Iolite, wow, the price is incredible break from what I am paying to a local compounding pharmacy..holy smokes...the only problem I see is they don't offer 15 mg capsules. I take 15mg two times a day, when my body is under stress I go to 45mg. I don't know but I was on Iodine when my thyroid disorder was diagnosed so it could be the fact I was doing io at the time and up to this point has a definite play in keeping my meds to a minimum. This was in 2009 and my dr told me that eventually my meds will go up and up some more..eventually thyroid failure due to the hashi but that has not happened! IODINE!!! =)
I'm going to email this company you suggested to see if I can get them in 15 mg. This is awesome pricing..Thank You!!! =)
I tried synthroid due to the pricing on my meds but I kept having breathing issues...i think they put talc in it..for the cryin in the night. However, I will say I did well on it other than the allergy, which means my t4 conversion to t3 is working very well. =) I can tell you that I was not always converting properly, so yes, I believe the supplementing and Iodine are CRUCIAL for everyone! =)

**Oh one more thing, my antibodies go up when I eat gluten and don't take iodine...very compelling. They stay very low when avoidance of gluten and intake of Iodine is steady.
