Loquat: it immediately puts your organ & muscle tissue in the firing line
Rainy: I have a question for you, you Troll. ;) Isn't the organ and muscle tissue only in the firing line for a few days and that few days would only be until a person gets into ketosis? Once a person is in ketosis they are in a fat burning mode and are not in danger of burning muscle and organs again until hunger returns. I don't think that anyone is going to harm their body in just a few days while waiting for ketosis if they happen to not eat fat before the fast. It would be better to eat fat first, but is it really something we should be worried about? For years doctors have supervised thousands of fasts without having patients eat fat first. I think this discovery is from The Fast Doctor and I think it is a fairly new discovery. Please let me know if I am wrong. I just don't think it is as serious as some make it out to be. Yes, I believe it is better to eat a little fat first, but I don't believe it is harmful enough to the body to be concerned about it. I think a few days of muscle loss can be regained. What about people who get sick and can't eat? They don't eat fat before getting sick. I'm not trying to be smart, Loquat. This is a sincere question. I want to know if I am seeing this correctly.
I know the The Fast Doctor recommends eating some fat before a fast to direct the body to burn fat. I think he said even a small amount is fine. We don't need to pig out on fat. It's too bad he doesn't post anymore. Do you know what happened to the other site he was posting on? It looks like they have shut down.
