Re: Laxative pill instead of tea?

Hi! There is a message above asking where everyone is today... if you read my response, I am asking for the name of a CHOCOLATE lax tea someone is drinking!!? Boy, that sounds like the ticket! I have also heard people mention Smooth Move. Your local natural food store should have a selection. I live in Mexico, so use what I can get my paws on.

Is this your first fast? If so, please know that the first week is always the toughest! I have done long fasts (30, 60 days) and after the first ten it gets much easier. First fasters always have a lot of issues with food, and the lack thereof, which I find I don't have to deal with at this point. I understand, and actually welcome, the sensations of emptiness, lightness and cleanness that accompany the fast--the only unpleasant sensations are that first week when the stomach is shrinking, commonly mistaken for hunger.

If you are first time cleansing, I highly recommend a pre-cleanse fruit/veg diet. ONLY fruits and veggies, and their fresh juices, for 3-5 days before you start, will make the WORLD of difference in your first week! Cut out coffee, smoking if you are silly enough to smoke... a lot of the heavy detox crises occur during that first week when you are going cold turkey on your old food addictions. This is why it is imperative that you keep your colon April Fresh every day you fast! Your body will be removing loads of toxins, and the main off-ramp is your intestines--if you don't keep the colon clear you will suffer the consequences! Many times I have stopped a detox crisis in its tracks with a plain water enema.
