Yeah sorry maybe I shouldn't have said that about moisturising and leaving them alone because there is merit in it. What I was trying to say is it's important to remove the irritants but I guess it's been said enough times.

The steroid cream/ointment will prolong the healing because it's designed to stop the inflammation but that's part of the healing cycle so it's needed.
