Re: my path to healing lupus recovery

I am glad i came across this site. My precious daughter who is 16 was diagnosed a year ago with Lupus Nephritis. She has had two flares on celcept while tapering off prednisone. On intial diagnosis she was treated with a course of cytoxan for 6 months. Now because her protein levels are way up, they are going to do a second round and add riuximab. Im very scared for her and feel helpless. I hate the thought of all the toxic drugs she will have in her so very young body and being a nurse I cringe at the thought of the long term effects on her fragile kidneys. We start our treatment this Friday and not sure what to expect with the Rituxin. Tweet
