Re: Blood Pressure Increasing After Water-Only Fast
Thanks for the input. I'm on a whole foods plant-based diet and consistently get over 4600mg of Potassium per day. I eat a lot of fruits, veggies, legumes, and grains and I don't add
table salt to food. I am also in good physical shape and lift weight 3 to 4 times a week, consistently. My BMI is 23.5 and body fat is around 14%. So it's frustrating to see that my BP isn't lower.
I will research the kidney cleanse. I need to understand why a
kidney cleanse would be necessary if I'm already eating a
healthy Diet with no animal products and recently completed a 10-day water fast.
So far, my BP is better than before the water fast, but not as low as it was (avg 98/75). My average BP throughout the day is around 125/79 and heart rate is back to what it was prior to the fast, which is high 50s to low 60s. My total cholesterol is 105 and my LDL is 51.
