Re: Ulcerative colitis and cleansing questions...please respond

I have active UC and am contemplating a flush but very hesitant. I only recently was able to taper off Prednisone after almost 3 years of being on it. Pred was theonly thing that worked. I tried Remicade and Humira with zero results. I dont have stones, was even given some kind of gallbladder scan where they stress your gallbladder while doing a scan and I passed. But do to just being able to get off the Pred, im worried a flush might trigger me to go back on Pred, and I despise the stuff. I am on Asacol which helps as maintenance keeping me flair free, but still bleeding somem days. I also have UC with constipation, not D. Unless im in a flair, then im running to the toilet and exploding, & bleeding badly. 3 years ago I had to be hospitalized for a week due to my UC. Was down to 115lbs from 155lbs and at deaths door. Had a resection 4 years ago due to a blow out, 9 inches of large colon removed and a week on pic line Antibiotics . Been battling UC for 20 years. Currently at 143lbs and doing okay so afraid a flush might do me in Tweet
