My disease--the symptoms of my disease--began six months after I moved into an immigrant neighborhood. Immigrants from Brazil and India among other endemic areas.

I'm not sure we get this kind of thing from other folks, though. If we do, then any one of us can be contributing to the spread. It's more probably transported in goods/textiles and foods and food products from anywhere in the world.

In my case, I had also vacationed for years on Shelter Island (it's within shouting distance of Plum), but not the year I came down with this.
