I'm not sure adrenal fatigue is a real thing.

Caffeine causes allergies that cause fatigue.

Kind of ignore some of what I said and focus on the anecdote. He ate certain food with either alcohol or caffeine. He felt awful. After quiting alcohol, caffeine, the person tried that same food and felt awful again. Introduced new food and felt great.

I've had the same pattern where new food makes me feel great.

Avoid caffeine/alcohol, ditch your old food and eat new food.
