Re: Question for Pepe, please help

I can only tell you from my personal experience that one of the coolest experiences I have ever had was on my first Master-Cleanse which was for 40 days. I originally intended to go for 2 weeks and I was feeling so good and had so much energy that I kept going and had to add a six mile bike ride everyday to keep from climbing the walls. Every day I would try to beat my previous time for the 6 miles and then I started adding miles in 1/2 mile increments. So you definitely are not gonna hear it from me not to try and go for 40 days.

Besides the obvious health benefits for me the mental aspects was the coolest part. Once you have done it if you have any spiritual or intellectual proclevities you will definitely understand the reason that just about every spiritual practice out there advocates fasting in one form or another.

If you have been reading the forum for a while I'm sure you have heard folks recommending pre cleansing. Well for me I inadvertedly did a precleanse by juice fasting for around 5 days before switching to the Master-Cleanse and I credit that to my relatively symptomless MC. I originally started doing a juice fast and while on it I was doing research on the internet and came upon this site and found out about the MC. I intuitively knew it was for me and just switched over.

I was 50 lbs overweight and I only lost 20 LBS over the 40 days. I tell ya I never even weighed myself at all and I didn't care about the weight since from the beginning I have always understood that the weight thing is a "health issue" and just a manifestation of many other possible causes. I joined a gym and really looked forward to starting a whole new lifestyle of regular exercise.

Another very cool aspect of the long Master-Cleanse is that I just did not want to eat anything but the cleanest of foods and could tell withing a bite if something was going to be right for me. I mean it was uncanny how fine tuned my thinking and system became.

The other beeeg health improvement for me is that I was suffering from some chronic shoulder and wrist pains that were threatening my passion for whitewater canoeing and I wasn't having that!! I am happy to report that from the time I finished my 1st 40 dayer around 3 years ago I have not had any more shoulder or wrist pain.

Before anybody starts thinking "miracle cure" here you hafta take into account that I have done 3 more MCs of 28-21-14 days and more than 18 Liver Flushes and for at least a year and half after my last MC I ate a pristine diet of mostly raw, daily veggie juicing and some supplements including Flax seed oil to get my EFAs and weekly routine resistance training. So in short for anyone looking for a magic bullet whether its weight loss or some health issues the bottom line is that there just >>ain't<< no magic bullet anything out there including the MC and definitely don't expect to cure anything with just doing one >minimum< 10 day MC . It will take time, experimentation, education, focus, dedication and the real biggie >>>regular exercise<<<< if you expect to succeed no matter what your goals are.

So take heed all you dieters out there that think the MC is a weight loss diet. The MC is just a tool just like any of the other cleanses. It will be your understanding that there are no compartmentalized health issues and that nothing in the human body works independent of anything else. Seeing any malady including weight issues from the bigger all encompassing "health issue is the only surefire way I know to succeed permanently.
