Re: May need to have Gallbladder removed. Does this always make candida worse?
To clarify: I currently have candida at a minor to moderate level.
Since the beginning of the year, I also have had various infections that coincide with my monthly cycle.
Flu, sinus, pink eye, UTI...the hospital found bacteria in my urine indicating a UTI, so what the hell? I've considered that I may have a sepsis with bacteria moving into my urinary tract and from there on to other organs...maybe even my gallbladder? Or could candida get that far?
But the doctors were very clear that the problem in my gallbladder is chronic. The walls hardened, and there is no contraction.
Since yesterday, however, I've been supplementing with beet juice/beet extract before every meal, and suddenly I can digest things, have normal stools, no pain. That's probably just for the moment and I'm sure, since beets help increase bile flow, that just creates an overflow of my gallbladder with little bits getting through into my digestive system after all so the gallbladder doesn't need to squeeze. But that probably doesn't make it a long term solution.
I don't know. I have two naturopathic doctors I want to talk to via Skype and one natural and integrative medicine clinic here in town. I want second opinions, but my husband and family are already fighting with me because they want me to take it out. My doc at the hospital was also VERY insistent.
