May need to have Gallbladder removed. Does this always make candida worse?

Hey you guys,

Just a little while ago, I had posted here about my reservations about the Hida scan which was ordered for my serious, recurring pain and inflammation in the gallbladder area.

Well, I had to go to the hospital last night for that pain, which usually occurs every time I eat something, anything, accompanied by severe, toxic level bloating and the worst constipation I ever had in my life. I had been only consuming water and herbal tea for several days because it was so bad, but still, the pain would return.

After a very thorough ultrasound at this very high-quality hospital, it was clear that there was a thickening in the walls of my gallbladder, they quickly moved on to the Hida scan, which was really quite pain free for me (I know, many people have issues with it, many don't, I'm just lucky in that regard, but I did brace myself for pain).

The Hida scan discovered that my gallbladder basically doesn't contract at all. It just fills with bile and becomes inflamed because it can't pass it on, so it just sits there.

I am REALLY glad to finally have a diagnosis and a solution, especially since I know that virtually all of my bloating and pain over the years originated from below the right rib cage where the gallbladder sits.

BUT...I also have been battling with candida for the longest time. And I know of SO many people out there who got candida after gallbladder removal. I don't want my gallbladder to be removed and have candida go haywire again. I had a horrible episode with candida in 2012, which almost near killed me.

On the other hand, could I have gotten candida from a lack of bile fluid in my digestive tract? Could my now non-functioning gallbladder be the cause for my candida infection to begin with?

Could gallbladder removal be a godsend or the worst decision of my life?

It's funny, but my sister and I both used birth control pills for ages, despite their serious warnings about gallbladder-related side effects. She got Gallstones a few years ago and had her gallbladder removed. Following that, everything was fine. No candida for her, no weight gain, no other issues. Granted, she didn't have candida before, but she also didn't get any.

It's a difficult issue, but I HAVE to do something about it and fast. Due to my gallbladder, I am barely eating and feeling horrible. And my doctor said that removing the gallbladder is the only option if it doesn't contract at all and gets infected because of it. At first, I was going to argue that point. Then I realized: I can't even argue it. Even supplements can only increase bile flow, but not help the gallbladder to contract and actually get that bile into the digestive tract, right?

What are your opinions?

Thanks in advance!
