Re: My Now Controlled EC (Exfoliative Cheilitis - Peeling Lips)

Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I'm sorry but, I just don't remember. I know for a fact that my lips weren't as irritated with the Tom's of Maine Botanically Bright toothpaste. This was especially so after the red lining of inflammation went away from my lips.

And hey all, I'm still here. Unfortunately, I got really sick and my EC returned. My sickness involved both mental and physical. It was such a weird feeling. I was so amazingly stressed out that I felt as if though I was drowning in water. That is the best way I can explain it. My EC returned hard too. The tightness, the corn flake skin buildup was back again. The Bepanthen cream actually did nothing against it now. So I was like, oh man, did my EC become resistant to the Bepanthen, and everything else I was doing? So then I turned to coconut oil again and, to my surprise, it really helped this time around.

I am currently kind of confused now because, I slowly reintroduced regular toothpaste to my oral hygiene and it doesn't seem to be affecting my lips in a negative way anymore. I kind of had to use regular toothpaste because Amazon.com screwed up my shipping address and the natural toothpaste I was using was ultimately returned. So I had to use regular toothpaste, funny how certain things work huh?

So, currently, my EC disappeared again. My overall conclusion of me placing my EC in a state of dormancy was pretty much accurate. Like I mentioned before, for as long as I can remember, I have always had burning/peeling lip problems. So unfortunately for me, I will never be 100% cured, it is just the way it is. This is obviously an immune system issue for me.

And yes, when my EC returned I was a social wreck again. I was always looking in a mirror and trying to hide and stuff. But you know what? I said the hell with it. Life is going to continue whether I live it or not. So, might as well live it while trying to make a difference, not just in my life, but for other people as well.
