Magnificat...

I'm not really wanting to start a long debate about this but I wanted to address something you said in a post down below about the Catholic Church being the only True Church or something like that. Correct me if I said that wrong. I was looking for the post where you said this, and I can't find it now, so I thought I'd just start another thread.

To me, I think the scriptures are clear that the true church is all those that are in Christ. In other words, all the true believers in Christ, wherever they are, make up "the church" or the "the body of Christ".


1 Corinthians 12:13
For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

Romans 12:5
so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

Ephesians 5:25
25Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
