Lordcooler is certainly right with advising IV vit C.
Although, I don't agree that fasting weakens the immune system - quite the contrary.
I know that surgery is now your choice - it may be of value to you (and us) to have a feedback on the type of tissue in it (when they remove it).
Maybe this will give some insights to have in mind in similar situations.
