Re: More on healing the sick in Jesus name
"People who are not truly filled with and led by the Holy Spirit seem to always find a way to develop bad and detrimental theology and if people are going to lose faith over someone not getting healed, rather than allowing Lord Jesus Himself to be their foundation and trusting Him fully every moment whether people get healed or not, it merely shows Spiritual immaturity on their part."
Actually it makes sense though, that if people believe physical healing is in the atonement for this life, which is taught everywhere and almost every "healer" person I see teaches this, then why still have faith in God if the doesn't hold to his promises?
God has promised to save all those who believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation. That was for sure in the atonement. If he doesn't keep that promise, then we have adequate reason to lose our faith in him.
So if God has promised to physically heal in this life all those who put their faith in Jesus, as once again so many teach, but he doesn't keep this promise, then there is adequate reason to lose our faith in him.
But the question is, did God promise this in the atonement as all these people teach? Is physical healing for this life really in the atonement? It's an important question to get to the bottom of. If not, then this is a detrimental false teaching that is causing people to lose faith because people are concluding that God is not keeping his promises.
