There's a lorra truth in what ya say, and it's fine to be that cynical amongst friends & sympathisers. But the problem with being too cynical when confronting the enemy is that you quickly lose them, and you just end up arguing with yourself, or preaching to the converted.

Don't forget, it's also important to engage them with rational argument and evidence. They may not abide by the rules of true scientific enquiry, but at least they know about them, still have some respect for them, and ostensibly are informed by them, even though we know better. I say dialogue is more effective when we hold a mirror up for them to look into & ask them to report what they see. Tweet
