Sorry, not even close. The most common cause is external events. For example, while there are several mechanisms for an organic brain problem to cause depression, it is far more common for it to be caused by an external event like being fired or losing a loved one.

No. Cancer is cellular mutation that can be caused by many things, and most of them are not viruses, and viruses are not "drug along" by parasites. 22% of cancer deaths are caused by smoking. Obesity, diet, and alcohol add another 10%. Then comes ionizing radiation and environmental pollutants. Another 5-10% are genetic. So fewer than 50% are related to infection in any way, and the majority of those are things like hepatitis and HPV.

There is no magic bullet because there is no magic target. Never has been, never will be.
