few thoughts
Hello kmg,
First, and sorry to disappoint you, but I find 8 days a quite short time to expect significant changes in the cyst. Second, your blood pressure is most probably tied up with the cyst, through decreased blood flow to the kidney, where the kidney itself generates high pressure to get some more blood pumping in (ref renal artery baro-receptors). Which means the cysts will need to get small enough in order for your BP to drop.
There was another faster recently, whose BP dropped around day 10-15, if I remember well. BP generally drops fast if the person doesn't have significant issues with BP, and is part of the lowering of the metabolic rate while fasting and part of decreasing the water/lymph-weight which held on toxins in the tissues prior to fasting.
You certainly will get more benefits. Almost everyone wants fast results, but few have them fast, and usually for conditions that were not there for long.
There was a good discussion on true hunger on this page or 1-2 pages before. Again - 8 days will not end up with true hunger, except in a relatively healthy child with little to fix or little fat reserves.
It was already discussed recently, that you can scrape your tongue with water and tongue-scraper, and brush and rinse without toothpaste.
