Thanks for sharing. As for your concerns about
Iodine dose, a great many of us here has been taking
Iodine at 50MG (50,000mcg) daily for years no with no issues.
I would however warn you that the body needs a great many nutrients and most multi's dont even come close to meeting the needs we have.
I think you need to change you outlook on your concern for "self medicating" taking supplements isnt "medicating" in my book. Medications are synthetic, man mad, patent-able drugs. Nutrients are found in various feeds and needed to live.
Supplementing is no different than eating food yet few people think twice about seeking a nutritionist for laying out meal plans unless they have a significant medical condition that warrants it.
My recommendation would be to step back and look at the complete nutritional picture. Few if anyone is deficient in just a single nutrient.
