Some suggestions for 37487....
Dear 37847,
First of all, you're a good writer. I came away from
your two posts wanting to read more of your thoughts.
You could probably make a living with your pen. Most
young men your age do not write well at all.
Your anecdote about the kefir-gone-bad is very funny,
Deep down, I think you see the humor in it. Include
it in the book you may write someday about this period
in your life.
I'm going to offer you some suggestions. They're coming
from a 64 year-old man who is in radiant health; a man
who is completely contented with his life. I'm a long-time vegetarian, non-drinker, and non-carouser.
I don't watch TV, read newspapers, or indulge in
negative conversation or activities. I'm on a spiritual
quest that has become the great joy of my life.
So here we go. If anything I say resonates with you,
then consider making some changes to your lifestyle.
1) Give up meat, most dairy, and almost all processed
foods. Begin educating yourself about the vegetarian
lifestyle. You're obviously a man who can learn from
books. Don't worry about what your current friends say.
As you make significant and needed changes to your life, the partying friends will drop away, and you won't miss them. You'll make other friends who share
your real values; the values that are trying to surface
in your life right now.
2) Ask yourself how you want to spend your life. What
do you enjoy doing SO much, that you'd do it for free?
THAT's the work you should be doing. In America, with
all its problems, you can still make a living, doing
what you love most. If you get sucked into a hateful
but well-paying job at 21, it will negatively impact
the rest of your life. You will suffer physically,
emotionally, and spiritually.
Joseph Campbell urged people to "follow their bliss."
He meant that you should do those things that make
you happy; not a temporary happiness, but a deep feeling of contentment. When you folow your bliss,
Campbell added, "Doors will open for you," where
you didn't expect to find doors. You'll meet people
in the field of your bliss who will open those doors.
Synchronicity will become a part of your life; delightful cooincidences that reinforce your belief
that you're on the Healing Path; that you're living
the life that God, the Universal Soul, intended for you.
3) Do some reading in mysticism and spirituality.
It's not airy-fairy lunacy, but deep and abiding
wisdom. Pick up a copy of THE POWER OF NOW, by Eckhart
Tolle. Read it very slowly, with a highlighter at hand.
I think it would resonate with you. The book will open
some Doors that need to be opened. If you like it,
I'll be glad to make other book-suggestions.
4) If you've been eating the SAD diet most of your
life, then your colon, liver, and kidneys need cleaning. CureZone is a good place to learn about
internal cleanses. Between now and Christmas, you
could do a half-dozen of those three cleanses.
Once the toxins and stones are removed from your
intestinal tract, most of your health problems,
including the depression, will disappear.
5) Drink lots of pure water every day. I drink close
to a gallon of home-distlled water each day. Most
Americans of any age are dehydrated. Dehydration
causes a whole host of major illnessses and degenerative conditions, including depression. Plus
you need that water to cleanse your intestinal tract.
Consider buying a small water-distiller for your kitchen.
6) Listen to your deep intuition, and follow her advice. The Deva of your Soul will never mislead you.
She led you to CureZone. I'm sure she has given you
"tinglings" about a variety of issues and people.
I sense that in your messages. Your intuition won't
speak to you in complete sentences. You'll get
fragments of thoughts, tingles, often first thing in
the morning. That's how your body, mind, and spirit
communicate with you. I urge you to listen to your
intuition. You won't go wrong if you do.
That's enough for now! I hope you decide to make a
Major Turnaround in your life. If you do, in 10 years,
you'll look back on this time as a Blessing, rather
than a Curse. And you'll Thank God it happened when
you were a young man.
Keep us posted on what you decide to do. I will keep
you in my prayers.
Be At Peace,
Blessings,
Owen
