Correct. And the effects of this particular transformation is what is known as chemical reduction.
That is the spontaneous reaction reducing silver oxides into silver: 2Ag2O –> 4Ag + O2

As for allergies I can't speak for others, but I've been taking 2oz of CS for nearly four years, every day, three times per day without any issue. - knock on wood.
