Re: Can Toxocara Disseminate?

My wife would not consent to a stool test. The test was ELISA, and came back positive. She was also tested ELISA for Strongyloides and negative. So, if she doesn't have Strongyloides, then chances are good that I do not either, and what I've probably got is toxocara disseminated. I don't even think we have a PCR stool exam in this area of the country.

She wasn't tested for Ascaris either, don't even know if they have the test for that around the northern U.S...Toxocara is popular here, though. We are TRYING to get her an I.D. consult, at which time I will try and get him to listen.
