Re: Dehumidifying Residence - Skin Parasites

That's a helpful idea and makes sense. If i attach the liner to the floor joists that will leave a six inch gap. I hope that's enough. I will do some searches on Vapour Barriers and how they are structured.
I will make up a standing frame if necessary.

I have been busy :). I am on a mission. Yes, it is Winter here.

I have always had a 'thing' about moisture in houses and bathrooms. Always dry my towels etc and never leave wet washers in the shower. I had a child with cystic fibrosis so I am very vigilent against things such as pseudomonis that live in our showers and dishcloths.

People have no idea how they can die from things like Cepacia (farmer's lung) that lives in onion skins and potting mix.

Open a bag of potting mix within 12 inches of your face and you could have a fatal illness within six months. No cure.

Who knew of all these things that can cause us hell or kill us.

Fkers aren't going to be my undoing.

I think, thanks to your help and caring enough to share your thoughts, I have a chance.

I am going to have the driest house in sunny Queensland. I dont care if the dog turns into a prune. I'm doing it.
