I had a severe parasitic infection and was super sensitive to smells and other things - so yes for me it did increase that and it went away when I was healed. - I did ten months of treatment rotating meds and off days of meds did the herbal treatments as well as inhalation with meds thruout treatment. huge difference when they were gone in my physical health - I gained weight yes I was losing weight prior. I was treated in 2012 and followed up by doing two rounds of meds as a just in case the following year and then dropped to an annual round of meds. I did hydrocolon therapy sessions after each round of meds - generally every eight week for two years. Once you have expereinced this type of medical issue it is always in the back of your mind to be more cautious . Recently saw my daughter friends pics from thailand - the friend love cats and was playing feeding even bringing them into hostel to sleep - I was brought right back to the risks of strays- I suspect one of my parasites was picked up via cat interaction while on holiday. I used vermox 7 rounds albendezole 4 rounds to weeks on three weeks off and prazi two weeks on three off twice - all med were prescribed and some were compounded by pharmacist as I inhaled as well . My infection was systemic. Best of luck to you. Technicaly your boyfriend should be tested - I would want to be treated if my partner was being treated
