My opinion on consumption of sea salt.Re: Sea Salt as salt bath?

My opinion on consumption of Sea Salt .

Sea salt is made by drying sea water and scrapping up the residue. This residue is full of bacteria, parasites, and anything shed by living organisms. It probably contains chromium 6 and mercury since almost all fish test positive for these.

I think it tastes like it is full of poo.

Regular table salt is Sea Salt that has aged for tens of thousands of years. It still has the icky stuff in it although not as much. Salt preserves but it doesn't kill everything.

The reason why people feel better after being at or near the ocean is because the action or movement of the ocean releases ions into the air. Its the same reason people like to just stand in the shower.

Tibetin Sea Salt lamps and walls release the ions also. Seems OK to me.

I think people are searching so hard for a way to feel better they convince themselves when a new craze by good marketing people comes out that it is the answer.

MY POINT:
If you don't understand the Science behind something you should question it and do more research. We all have to eat salt. Please make sure you know what you are eating.

Example: When I was young I had a toothache and my father said I should put a dime in my mouth for the day. He was taught this (without the science) so he continued with it. Well, it was post 1964 when all silver dimes had been removed from the system. The copper, zinc combination was of no help and possibly detrimental. He didn't know the science. Silver is a good Antibiotic but post 1964 dimes are not silver.

I'm not trying to dance at your parade or start a debate. I just want people to do the research and think things through before they act.

In the end, if it works for you, march on.
