A search will reveal many conditions that can and do cause itching, suffering.
Some have to do with bacterial infections.
Some with organs having problems.
Some with organs having problems with bacterial infection in other parts of the body.

Many are those who experienced relief from the incessant itching caused by such infections by clearing those infections.
Some people with teeth/jaw infections clear up the itching when they clear out the infection.

This is not rocket science.

The skin is an organ unto and of itself, as well has being connected to so much of what goes on in the body generally.

You, by your own admission, did not have the colored fibers, which are such a hallmark of morg as to have earned it, among other things, the name of, "the fiber disease."
What those, "fibers," represent is a subject of debate.

By your own admission you didn't have them.
