No single frequency works all the time or for everything. That particular claim is not true.

The 30 kHz zapper was a good beginning but it became obsolete 15 years ago with the introduction of dual frequency zappers.

Generally, I would recommend at least 4 modes minimum or 20 frequencies minimum. That way, if one does not work, you have a lot of others to fall back on.
