Q-dots?

Bummer, my specimen degraded a fair amount in the two weeks it was unpreserved waiting for me to return with a scope. Originally, each dot had 3 colors with very distinct borders. Pattern is geometric, but not so perfect that it looks machine-made. Nevertheless, the images still shows the basic pattern and 2 of the 3 original colors (most of the red dots went away):
