Re: Please Help - In the men's department (i.e. libido)
I agree with Ferventer. Jack you should sort out the selenium thing. I think you're playing Russian roulette.
And besides that, taking high ammounts of Vitamin D during years without Vit K isn't good at all. It raises your calcium a lot and might calcify your artheries. And deplete you of Vit K of course.
Also : Taking high ammounts of Zinc for years without extra copper can easily deplete you of copper. I don't know if copper is directly related to libido and/or hairloss but maybe here you have a clue.
Immediate actions I would try if I were you :
- Try a chelated copper supplement, i.e 2mg day, for a week or two without supplemental zinc (you probably have plenty after years of daily 50mg). See if anything changes.
- Try supplementing Vit K as you've been told in the previous message. See if anything changes but remember to always take it if you go back to VitD.
- If you haven't done one recently, get a thyroid blood test so you know exactly what's going on : FT3, FT4, TSH, AntiTPO, AntiTgbA, Selenium (serum). It shouldn't cost you more than 80 bucks. In the future you'll be glad you have some numbers to compare. Do it man.
Cheers
