Re: Did Jesus claim to be God?
Rainy, hi, there.
Yes I would agree with how you see things only many years ago when I served in the forces I was posted overseas and met many Muslims at the time. I remained in Aden (Yemen) and Muscat (Oman) for two years.
Since that time I have met many Muslims from other parts of the world. Those people worshiped Allah (God) in their own way as much as other religions worshiped God in the way they chose.
You say, "When one takes a look at what they make the Jesus that they worship out to be it is easy to see that their Jesus is "another Jesus" that the Bible warns us against. They do not worship the real Jesus.)
Well not really, for they followed Mohammad in the name of Allah. Yes, that is not the way of Christians but who are we to differentiate.
Those people I met so long ago loved God and never behaved the way some Muslims do today.
The world has changed and through the years religion has followed suit.
One can see what has happened in Palestine, how the Jewish religion have turned against Palestinians.
So we have extremist into the mix now which is causing havoc around the world the same way Christianity did in the eleventh century with the Crusaders.
Those that are true believers in whatever form they choose have had these false prophets among them for millenniums as they have today.
They are the evil ones that shall perish, it is just a matter of the time God chooses.
Meanwhile we of all cultures and religions should continue to listen to the word of God until that time without attempting to separate from each other.
So yes Rainy we differ in our approach to God but we are all the same, believe me.
