Re: Gerson Diet for Healthy people

search Guidelines For General Nutrition From The Gerson Perspective & Gerson sample menu

For healthy people, I would recommend perhaps growing wheat grass because it is much cheaper, and using soaked/germinated and sprouted grains and kidney beans, quinoa, red and green lentils if you have any concern about your body wasting. If you have a juicier like the Samson (or I think the omega and Champion as well) has a black cone that doesn't juice but just grinds. You can take sprouted Kamut wheat, grind it twice, put water on your hands to make it not stick, and form it into either a flat bread with parchment paper on both sides at 1-2 cups dry and bake for half an hour on 350, or into a loaf with 3 cups and only paper on bottom on 300 for an hour and a half. or you can cook sprouted whole, unhulled sprouting barley, or kamut, or emmers farro wheat, or just likely soaked or not millet and then grind them twice to make an oatmeal type dish (good cooked with coconut oil and a little brown Sugar at the end. Kamut, kidney beans, barley and some emmers wheat(other types are good just soaked) are good fully sprouted, lentils and be fully sprouted, or esp red ones just soaked, quinoa should be soaked for at least 2-4 hours or longer or at least rinsed, millet doesn't need to soak but I like to soak it for as much as 4-6 hours, long brown rice or with mixed in wild. should soak for 22-24 hours. By fulleysprouted I mean soak for 8-12 hours, then sprout for 1-1&1/2 to as much as two days(sprouting lid in upside down on a towel, rinse three times when pouring off and three types a day like that including the first rinse. Another goodyy is 2T hemp seeds, 3T flax seeds, 2T quinoa and a little hulled sesame seed (about half a cup, a good breakfast size) cook them and grind in juicer.

I know a lot of this isn't exactly Gerson, but many of the principles are still in keeping with the Gerson Therapy if you look at it, but not as strict and with things they probably haven't have't heard (the loaf bread is based off their recipe, though they recommend buying bread because it is easier). Certainly you can do these these healthy for someone who hasn't been diagnoses with a nasty condition. This diet along with Kombucha, kefir water and kefir milk smoothies with a banana, two T of fresh coconut water straight from the young Thai coconut with the husk cut back with a strong bread knife and pierced with a nail or something and wrapped in plastic in the fridge, and 1/4 cup raw almonds, soaked for 1-2 hours and ground with the juicer, these things work for me, but I appreciate the Gerson Therapy guidelines and try to live close to that, maybe this wouldn't work for everybody but I do good with these properly prepared grains and legumes.
