I have little faith in counseling and therapists in general. I have been through it too and all the good it did was make the payments on my therapist's Jaguar.

However there is hope and lots of it. EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques is superior to therapy. It is self help and it is totally free to learn. There are good Support Forums that can help you use this new tool. It looks a little silly, but one self session can do you more good than a year's worth of "therapy".
