Re: Are there any lawyers among us?

I am disappointed to learn that the chances of getting an appeal are slim if you are convicted in a jury trial, and I am wondering if it is possible to switch to trial by judge who will guaranteed to allow appeal. I have little confidence in the education and intelligence level of people who have been dumbed down with unhealthy food and environmental chemical exposure, when they have trusted a sickly system that seeks to keep people fat and docile. Do some people cut deals for guaranteed appeals and go into trials expecting to lose and then appeal? How does that work?

I don't suppose I can ask the judge to instruct the jury that they are encouraged to vote their conscience, or simply give the juror's fija pamphlets?

Can a prosecutor object when I am giving my opening and closing arguments, or just when I am on the stand being questioned?

I was in the car alone and have no witnesses. It is simply my word against the police officer's word.

I cannot read the name of the cop on my ticket. It is a scribble. Should I file for disclosure of his name, or can I simply call the city clerk and ask her to tell me his name?

Do I need to file the motion for disclosure before or after my pretrial hearing? Should I do it by certified mail, or take it in person and have my mother go along and watch me give it to them, so I have a witness if they try to say they did not get it...
