I stumbled across iododerma which is Iodine induced dermatitis. I was shocked at some of the pictures, it looks as bad as almost any skin disease I have seen.

I also found recent pubmed entries reporting the condition.
It is a rare condition but very real and usually associated with oral doses over 10mg daily.
