Salt Scripture

Very interesting article on salt, Refreshed. I looked up the web site and some of their other beliefs. I don't think they practice what they preach very well. After a quick skimming of the site my conclusion is that they do hold to some solid biblical truths, but are way off in many other things like "women do not speak in tongues". I sometimes like to read the arguments people give for holding to their false beliefs to see why they came to their false beliefs. I also want to see if anything they have to say could be truth that I am not aware of. Most of the time I just see scripture being taken out of context and twisted so that it will somehow fit into their false beliefs. It's hard to give up false beliefs when you've been brainwashed into them for years. That causes people to resort to such things instead of deeper Bible study with the Holy Spirit. After all, many times we look upon others who share our beliefs as a second family. It's just too hard to give them up. It's much easier to twist and take scripture out of context.

I have found that many of these sites, who have some truths and some false beliefs, love to call others who do not agree with their false beliefs "heretics". I guess they think that will give them more credibility as they continue to spread their biblical errors. They put down those with truth to puff up themselves with their false beliefs. The sad part is that many people who are not solid in biblical truths will believe them and will be kept back from walking in many truths. That's why it is so important for each of us to study the Bible on our own seeking the Holy Spirit as our teacher in the end of all our studies. Yes, God has his teachers. No, it is not wrong to listen to teachers, but we must do what the Bible says in the end. The Bible warns us of false teaching and false doctrine and false teachers and false prophets. The Bible tells us to examine what we are being taught to see if it lines up with scripture. Check out Acts 17. Christians were highly praised for examining even when they were being taught the truth. Let us all be examiners of these articles, videos etc. to see if they speak truth. Let us continue to seek the Holy Spirit to be our teacher in the end of it all.
