In the world we live in today, you are the only one that can prove or disprove this by trying it for yourself. People say that their bodies use salt differently. If your body is good at expelling any excess salt that you ingest, then I would not see any harm in trying to see if your health improves with it.
Caution only to those who have problems with an over abundance of chloride already in their bodies due to years of table salt or poor kidney function and who claim that salt feels like poison to them due to fluid build up. So it can be bad either way...either a person loses their salt too easily or very little is lost, and it builds up. Somewhere in the middle is good I think.
But I do believe good salt of the earth (health) and salt of His Spirit does make our light shine brighter. :)
Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Mark 9:49
For everyone will be salted with fire.
Now to make this really interesting....here is some old testament and connecting new testament scripture to ponder.
Numbers 18:19
All the holy contributions that the people of Israel present to the Lord I give to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. It is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord for you and for your offspring with you.”
2 Chronicles 13:5
Ought you not to know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingship over Israel forever to David and his sons by a covenant of salt?
