Re: Teeth extracted - headaches gone? fibro too?
Hello Karlin
It was 11 years ago since you posted this so i am hoping my post will reach you or anyone else who can offer genuine advice wether professional or through personal experience. I have become a very unwell young lady since Jan 2014 since
root canal treatment causing chronic headaches, damaged my left hearing, inflammation of the Jaw (TMD), extreme aniexty/panic attacks, suface tongue numbness, intermittent pins & needles, numbness in my arms & legs & recently been admitted to hospital with stomach bleeding & ulcers from over medicating to control my headaches. Prior to
root canal on the infected tooth I was a perfectly healthy 37 year old partying with my friends. Life is a mess, my only saving grace is being fortunate enough to have top level private health care which has fast tracked me to see now my 3rd neurologist & receive every procedure/scan possible. All blood tests came back clear, X-rays show a healthy root canal, MRI/CT came back clear so the neuropathy remains unanswered? Therefore medication is thrown at me like its candy.. antidepressants.. Gabapentine which has numbed my personality & caused huge weight gain. After all of this I still can't shake the thought that removing the tooth which initially set all of this off against dentists advice to extract may be the answer? Ive searched the internet high & low for people who went ahead with people who extracted what seemed a healthy tooth and suddenly woke up one day after years of pain like yourself feeling normal again. I would give anything to go a day pain free day.. my feet ache.. my head hurts.. but dentists tell me I'm making a costly mistake and should never lose a healthy tooth especially since X-rays show a well conducted root canal. what do you think? How have you got on since? Thanks
