Re: Teeth extracted - headaches gone? fibro too?

Karlin,
I recently found out the root canal I had over 12 years ago was incomplete and there is still nerve material and infection in the apex of the tooth and possibly the bone. My health has declined since the original root canal, I have fibromyalgia, headaches, low body temperature and I've had an elevated white blood cell count for years that no doctor has ever been able to explain. I think the tooth may be causing some of my problems and want to have it extracted. Did you go to a biologic dentist or oral surgeon? I have had an evaluation by one oral surgeon and I asked would he do bone debridement to make sure to get all the infected, softened bone out. He said the infected bone should stick to the tooth when he removes it, and he wont do debridement and he wont send it to pathology to see what type of bacteria may be present. Did your dentist do anything special? Or just simple extractions? Did you take any Antibiotics at that time? I just want to make sure I'm stuck with this infection even after the tooth is extracted. Thanks, Bootsie
