Re: Baptism in the Holy Spirit is clearly separate from Water Baptism.

Correct in every instance they were already saved prior to the holy spirit coming. After that you received it automatically Acts 2:38-39

So it was not a separate baptism notice he baptizes them under the authority of Jesus, where as they were under Johns baptism. Notice it is exactly as peter described it in Acts 2 they had already repented so they were already saved. they were baptized, then received the holy spirit. Notice he did not call it baptism.

I as well as vektek have repented and been baptized unless peter lied to the crowd that day we have also received to holy spirit

Now for all the rest lets observe the following passages

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

(1 Corinthians 12:1-11 ESV)

And also this one

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

(1 Corinthians 12:29-30 ESV)

Are all apostles? The answer is obviously no, setting up the reader to answer no to all of the following questions (the Greek particle mē before each question also shows that Paul expects a negative answer to each one). Therefore, Do all speak with tongues? implies that the Holy Spirit does not give the gift of tongues to everybody, but just those to whom “he wills” (v. 11) to give it, as he does with the other gifts.

Paul is setting up the negative narrative to prepare for the next part of his letter in Chapter 13

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.

(1 Corinthians 13:8-11 ESV)

So with Paul setting up that the spirit imparts what it wills and not all will be teachers, miracle workers etc in 1 Corinthians 12:29-30. It does not mean that someone does not have the holy spirit if they do not speak in tongues or perform miracles. Then in Chapter 13 he says that tongues will cease.

Confusing a book of historical accounts called "the acts of the apostles" With the actual doctrine taught by Paul is where this confusion happens

Cheers
