Re: To Telman--about digestion
You may not like the liver-flushes but there are other possibilities. With you history of gallbladder attacks and the fact that you completed two
Liver Flushes I think your liver has gradually become more congested over the years. This may be because your digestion is struggling but digestion and liver function are very closely linked. Carrots contain pectin which will help expel bile and therefore encourage more bile to be produced but probably not enough and it doesn't make more bile flow.
An approach is to eat foods that make bile flow which may wash the liver. Foods that traditionally do this are dandelion, turmeric, beets (raw grated and juiced). These foods are called Cholagogues and Choleretics. Also, very importantly, drink plenty of good water daily and change your lifestyle.
If bile salts help then take them.
Cholagogues and Choleretics foods act in a variety of different ways. Some expel bile, some relax the bile ducts, some alter the hormones making bile flow. Milk thistle is a widely established herb for aiding the liver. It achieves this by increasing bile acid production.
Is this going in the right direction for you?
