That sounds terrifying. The good news is, nobody with this condition is crazy. I'm sorry but there is no way people can imagine feeling somethingy. The freaking out and questioning everything is a normal defense mechanism called rationalizing. Trying to make sense of what's happening inside your body and not having control.
What your family is doing is called minimizing... maybe even some denial. Your good sense is what made you even consider a parasite and even go as far as trying to figure out what type.

It's YOUR body, so you need to demand it back.
Don't overwhelm yourself in the beginning, don't buy 100 different things that have outrageous claims and focus on getting your load down, then once its managable, start working on repairing damage. Chewable kids vitammin/minerals and MSM are cheap and make a big difference in helping your body fight back.
Albendazole is the way to go.
