Chaz, you are actually describing yourself as someone with "Oneness" beliefs. "Oneness" believes that Jesus prayed to Himself in the garden etc. Many do hold to this belief. This belief states that God is manifesting Himself in three personalities or ways instead of three persons. This view is in contrast to those who hold to the trinitarian views. Trinitarian views are that God manifests Himself in three persons. We do see in the Bible that God is manifesting in three of something. Most, (I think most), of us believe it is three persons. The Bible does not use the terms Trinity or Oneness. Jesus did say that we have to believe He is who He said He is or we would die in our sins. This is either referring to His Deity or His being the Messiah. I don't think it is clear which one. I don't have time to hunt up the passage now, maybe later. I personally do not believe that God is going to send anybody to hell because they are "Oneness" or because they do not understand the three of which He presents Himself in the Bible whether the Trinity, Oneness or whatever. I do think it is important and maybe even necessary to believe in His deity and that He is the Messiah. We want to avoid the other Jesus that the Bible warns us of that is being preached to lead us astray.
