What is the Trinity?

The first 5 minutes of the video is perfect, perfect explanation of the Trinity which is exactly correct. I don't think all Christians are in agreement on this point, hence the rest of the video to explain it, but yes this understanding in the first 5 minutes is exactly correct. After that he goes off on some tangents about multi-dimensional beings and starts talking about why the Trinity is Three and not some other number? My answer to this question would be because that is the way it is and has always been, it is not for us to know why three and not some other number.

The information on the Council of Nicea is interesting, but I don't know why he feels that defending this council is defending Christianity? I need to learn more about it, but if they came up with the understanding of the Trinity as we know it today, good for them they got it right and maybe they really did have some true Christians there who were guided by the Holy Spirit; I'm sure they probably got some things wrong. It is obvious that there were all kinds of people there with varying beliefs about Christianity, as he mentions this guy and some followers who denied Christs divinity, even though they mainly rejected him, just the fact that he was there and who knows what other kinds of people were there. If we look at the history of the Christian church after the writings in the New Testament, it seems very obvious that it was converted to the Church of Man, and we can see the history of various sects who decided they believe this way or that way. In my mind, it is all very interesting, especially I am curious as to what happened to the original church of Jesus and his apostles, but in my mind by the time of the council of Nicea, the original church was gone.

Some of the scriptural references were interesting. So it seems he is saying the the angel of the Lord appearing to Moses in the burning bush was God the Son. I don't know if I accept that as fact, but it could be a possibility. It all just gets a bit too intellectual for me right now. Examining scriptures and looking at the original language is great and there are some great points such as Jesus referring to himself as the I AM in the New Testament. This is all stuff that I am very interested and want to learn more about, but right now I need to focus on seeking Christ in prayer, the basics of repentance and placing my faith in Christ. I read the Bible, but only so I can contemplate the words in prayer. Intellectualism right now just takes me away from God. I'm not saying for some it can't be good, just not for me right now. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, in constant communion with Christ and the Father, only then can it be understood, what is the Trinity until that it is just intellectual knowledge. Although, I do think the explanation given in the video is correct, this is the intellectual explanation. What is the Trinity? The real answer to this question can only be experienced, like all things concerning God. Then all debates are finished.
