Re: Starting Iodine with Hashimoto's?

I haven't been taking enzymes but I'm thinking I should start some. I'm still trying to figure out my approach to heal my gut.

I'm trying to stay paleo but it's hard because I don't tolerate fruits and vegetables except in small portions because of fructose malabsorption. Often I eat buckwheat which is a grain so it's not paleo, but it's higher in fiber and protein than most grains.

I have tried a lot of different diets but I've come to the conclusion that I can't heal myself with diet alone, only prevent further damage.

I'm seeing a gastroenterologist now and I'm going to see a holistic MD in a few weeks so I'm hoping that together they can help me overcome these GI issues.

But I believe that the GI issues are at least in part a consequence of thyroid and low immune system, so if I address those problems, maybe my gut will get better as well.
