I suffer from an autoimmune disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis. In June my neighbours gave me some Natto to try for health reasons. Ever since then I have been disease free, as long as I eat the Natto beans. I stopped taking the Natto for a few days and my disease returned. Then, when I started taking Natto again my symptoms abated over about 24 hours.
Oils ain't oils. And not all B Subtilis strains will be the same. The strains growing on meat will likely be quite different from those growing on soybean.
