Re: Paleo Diet Misconceptions

I think the big issue is that we go to extremes - like a pendulum. Paleo and low-carb serve a purpose to get us back to real foods and away from too much grains. But ultimately, the key is moderation, diversity and whole foods.

When you're active you need carbs. Too much protein is hard on the system - especially when we're not active like our ancestors and eating as little as they did in general (they didn't eat 3 big meals a day like we do.)

I like to draw from these insights but not get lost in absolutisms, listen to my body and adjust accordingly.

One of my favorite vehicles for getting lots of good nutrition and helping me get away from unhealthy snacking i.e. carbs and getting more veggies in is through smoothie making.

Here's a list of creative smoothie ideas. And just like the diets, I prefer not to stick to a recipe. I prefer to experiment, adjust and listen to my own body's reaction.

Some of these additions have helped me feel so much more energized, lose weight and regain control of how I eat. (I especially like getting more veggies in a delicious smoothie and adding more healthy fats like cream and coconut oil.)

Let me know what you think of these: https://www.sunchlorellausa.com/blog/jazz-your-healthy-smoothies-these-8-unus...
